My story

This June I will be swimming 21 miles to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

In 2024, Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer that had already metastasised to both lungs by the time it was found. It was a huge and devastating shock to us all.

Mum’s treatment is ongoing and always will be, but advances in cancer treatments in recent years have allowed Mum and so many others to live longer, fuller lives.

Since Mum’s diagnosis, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible support, care and compassion that Macmillan offers.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Macmillan continue supporting people living with cancer and their loved ones through treatment, uncertainty and recovery.
